Smooth Creamy Avocado Sauce (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 large ripe avocado
02 - ½ cup Greek yogurt
03 - 1 small clove of garlic
04 - ½ lemon, juiced
05 - ½ cup cilantro leaves (or parsley)
06 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a blender or food processor. Add Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
02 - Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
03 - Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning. You can add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice if needed. Add a tablespoon or two of water or olive oil to thin the sauce, if required.
04 - Use the avocado sauce immediately as a dip, spread, or topping for various dishes. If not serving immediately, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Customize it: Feel free to add lime juice, jalapeño for heat, or a dash of cumin for extra flavor. If you are not a cilantro lover, swap it for parsley or basil!
02 - Thin it out: If you prefer a thinner consistency, add a tablespoon or two of water or olive oil while blending.
03 - To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the sauce before sealing the container. It should last in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Best enjoyed fresh, as it may lose color and flavor over time. Not suitable for freezing.
