Combine roughly chopped strawberries and maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the strawberries have softened. Mash with a fork and transfer to a bowl to cool.

In a blender, add frozen strawberries, frozen banana, avocado, milk, a pitted date, and a pinch of kosher salt. Blend thoroughly until the mixture is smooth. Add more milk if a thinner consistency is desired.

Spread Greek yogurt along the inside walls of a serving glass if desired. Add a spoonful of strawberry glaze. Pour the blended smoothie into the prepared glass and serve immediately.
