Frankenstein’s Monster Chocolate Brownies (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Brownie Base

01 - 1 box (approx. 425 g) chocolate brownie mix
02 - Ingredients as specified on the brownie mix package (e.g. eggs, oil, water)

→ Decorations

03 - Green food colouring
04 - Chocolate frosting
05 - Black decorating gel
06 - Candy eyes
07 - Mini pretzel sticks, lightly crushed
08 - M&M’s or candy-coated chocolates (optional)

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Preheat oven as directed on brownie mix package. Combine brownie mix with specified ingredients (such as eggs, oil, and water) and mix until smooth.
02 - Pour batter into a lined baking tin and bake according to package instructions. Remove from oven and allow to cool fully in the pan.
03 - Chill the cooled brownies in the refrigerator until firm. Cut into evenly sized rectangles or squares to form 'heads' for the monster design.
04 - Blend a small amount of green food colouring into chocolate frosting. Spread a thin green layer atop each brownie piece.
05 - Use black decorating gel to outline the hairline and add facial markings. Place candy eyes on each brownie for the monster effect.
06 - Insert mini pretzel sticks at the sides to resemble bolts. Optionally, press M&M's or candy-coated chocolates onto brownies for added detail. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - For best results, ensure brownies are completely cool before decorating, as warm brownies may cause the frosting to melt.
02 - Customise facial decorations by varying the placement of black gel or adding extra candy features.
