In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, freshly brewed espresso, Licor 43, and sugar if desired. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds until the mixture is chilled and foamy.

Fill three tumblers with ice and strain the foamy mixture over the ice. Optionally spoon foam from the shaker on top.

Pour Licor 43 into a serving glass, add hot espresso or coffee, and stir thoroughly. Optionally add sugar to taste.
