Sweet Sour Air Fryer Brussels (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Brussels Sprouts

01 - 1 pound brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ Sweet and Sour Vinaigrette

03 - 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
04 - 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
05 - 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
06 - ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
07 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper

→ Garnish

08 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - In a medium bowl, toss together the brussels sprouts with the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of water.
02 - Transfer the brussels sprouts to the air fryer basket and air fry at 350°F for 20-22 minutes or until fork tender and browned. Halfway through cooking, shake the basket to ensure even browning.
03 - In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, ginger and pepper. Cook over medium-low heat for 5-10 minutes until the sauce reduces by half and thickens.
04 - Pour the sweet and sour vinaigrette over the cooked brussels sprouts and toss well. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Cooking time may vary based on the size of the brussels sprouts. Smaller sprouts will require less time than the 20 minutes suggested.
02 - Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket as this prevents the sprouts from getting crispy. Cook in batches if necessary.
03 - Always shake the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even browning on all sides.
04 - Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. These brussels sprouts don't freeze well once cooked.
