Stuffed Bell Peppers Creepy Faces (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main ingredients

01 - 4 large bell peppers (orange, red, or yellow)
02 - 450 grams ground beef
03 - 1 cup cooked rice
04 - 1 small onion, chopped
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 410 grams diced tomatoes, drained
07 - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
08 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - Salt, to taste
10 - Black pepper, to taste
11 - Black olives, optional, for decoration
12 - 100 grams shredded cheddar cheese

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C. Cut off the tops of the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Using a small paring knife, carefully carve creepy faces into the sides of each pepper.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until the beef is fully browned and the onion is softened. Drain off any excess fat.
03 - Stir in the cooked rice, drained diced tomatoes, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined and heated through. Remove from heat.
04 - Place the hollowed and carved bell peppers upright in a baking dish. Fill each pepper with the prepared beef and rice mixture, packing gently.
05 - Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
06 - Remove the foil. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tops of each stuffed pepper. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted.
07 - Serve the stuffed peppers hot. For added effect, replace the pepper tops as stalks and press sliced black olives into the faces for spooky eyes if desired.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Use a small, sharp knife to achieve precise facial carvings in the peppers for a more dramatic presentation.
