Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add green gel food colouring to achieve a vibrant slime hue.

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; the batter should be smooth, with no dry pockets.

Lightly grease a donut pan. Fill each cavity two-thirds full with batter, smoothing the surface if needed.

Place the pan in the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the donuts comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cool, cover the tops with coloured icing. While the icing is still wet, press on gummy eyeball candies, stick candy corn tips in for teeth, and add sprinkles for extra effect.
