Quick Easy Taco Bowl (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Protein

01 - 450 grams ground beef
02 - 15 grams taco seasoning
03 - 240 grams canned black beans, drained and rinsed

→ Grain Base

04 - 200 grams cooked white or brown rice

→ Vegetables & Greens

05 - 100 grams shredded romaine lettuce
06 - 100 grams diced tomatoes (or pico de gallo)
07 - 15 grams fresh cilantro, chopped
08 - 10 grams lime juice

→ Toppings

09 - 60 grams guacamole or sliced avocado
10 - 30 grams shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
11 - 30 grams sour cream or Greek yogurt

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Heat a large non-stick or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until fully browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and 30 ml water. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until well combined and flavors meld.
02 - While the beef cooks, prepare the rice according to package instructions or use pre-cooked rice. Fluff the rice with a fork and keep warm.
03 - Dice the tomatoes or prepare pico de gallo. Shred the romaine lettuce, chop cilantro, and prepare guacamole or slice avocado. Arrange each topping in small bowls for easy assembly.
04 - In wide, shallow bowls, layer the rice first, then shredded lettuce and seasoned beef. Top with black beans, tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream or Greek yogurt, and guacamole. Finish by sprinkling chopped cilantro and drizzling lime juice over each bowl.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Serving immediately ensures warm beef and rice contrast with fresh, cool toppings. For meal prep, store meat and rice separately from fresh ingredients and assemble before eating to maintain freshness.
