08 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ For Searing

09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
10 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and place on a large plate. Drizzle hot sauce evenly over both sides and rub in to coat. Sprinkle each side with Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Press seasoning firmly to adhere.
02 - Place a large heavy skillet, preferably cast iron, over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and allow it to become hot and shimmering.
03 - Lay seasoned pork chops in the hot skillet. Sear undisturbed for 4–5 minutes until a golden crust forms. Flip and continue cooking for another 4–5 minutes until an internal temperature of 63°C is reached.
04 - Turn off the heat. Add unsalted butter to the pan and let it melt. Baste the pork chops with the melted butter for enhanced flavor.
05 - Transfer pork chops to a plate and rest for 3 minutes before serving.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Opt for pork chops at least 2.5 cm thick for maximum juiciness and tenderness.
02 - A well-heated cast iron skillet helps produce a superior crust and flavor.
03 - For food safety, ensure pork reaches at least 63°C in the thickest section.
