01 - 900 g chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes

→ Seasoning Blend

02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
04 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
05 - 1 teaspoon fine salt
06 - 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ Hot Honey Butter Sauce

07 - 60 g unsalted butter, melted
08 - 45 ml hot sauce
09 - 45 ml honey
10 - 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully blended.
02 - Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss thoroughly to ensure all pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
03 - Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
04 - Arrange the seasoned wings in a single, even layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12 minutes.
05 - While the wings are cooking, whisk together melted butter, hot sauce, honey, and kosher salt in a medium mixing bowl until combined. Adjust salt to taste.
06 - After 12 minutes, open the air fryer and generously brush the hot honey butter sauce over both sides of the wings.
07 - Return the wings to the air fryer and cook for an additional 4 minutes, or until fully cooked through and golden crisp.
08 - Transfer wings to a serving platter. Coat with remaining sauce or serve sauce on the side for dipping. Serve immediately.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper to the seasoning mixture before cooking.
02 - Use your preferred hot sauce; Cholula is suggested for balanced flavor.
