05 - 250 g cooked ground beef or turkey (optional)

→ Vegetables

06 - 80 g black olives, sliced
07 - 80 g orange bell pepper, diced
08 - 80 g corn kernels
09 - 40 g red onion, diced
10 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

→ Spices

11 - 1 teaspoon chili powder
12 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
13 - 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
14 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

→ Garnishes

15 - 120 g pumpkin puree guacamole (guacamole blended with pumpkin puree, optional)
16 - 120 g sour cream (for spider web effect)
17 - 60 g orange-hued salsa (such as mango or roasted tomato salsa)
18 - Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
19 - Jalapeño slices (optional)

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and enable easy cleanup.
02 - If using ground beef or turkey, sauté in a skillet over medium heat with minced garlic, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned, then add black beans and stir for 2–3 minutes until coated in seasoning. Remove mixture from heat.
03 - Spread half of the black tortilla chips evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Sprinkle half the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the chips. Top with half the seasoned bean and protein mixture, followed by half of the olives, orange bell pepper, corn, and red onion.
05 - Add the remaining tortilla chips in a layer. Distribute the remaining cheese, bean and protein mixture, olives, bell pepper, corn, and onion evenly on top.
06 - Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is thoroughly melted and bubbling.
07 - Optional: Carefully move the nachos to a serving platter. Use a squeeze bottle or piping bag filled with sour cream to draw concentric circles across the nachos, then drag a toothpick or knife from the center outwards to form a spider web pattern.
08 - Finish with dollops of pumpkin guacamole, orange salsa, jalapeño slices, and freshly chopped cilantro or parsley. Serve nachos warm.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - To highlight the Halloween theme, focus on orange and black toppings like pumpkin guacamole and black beans for vibrant contrast.
02 - For a vegetarian version, omit ground meat and increase beans and vegetables.
03 - Use a piping bag or squeeze bottle for a precise sour cream spider web shape.
04 - Prepare toppings ahead of time to streamline assembly; assemble and bake just before serving to maintain chip crispness.
05 - If adding plastic decorations, such as spider rings, remind guests to remove all non-edibles before eating.
