Cotton Candy Rice Krispies Twist (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Base

01 - 90 g Rice Krispies cereal

→ Binding

02 - 100 g mini marshmallows
03 - 56 g unsalted butter

→ Flavoring and Coloring

04 - 1 tsp cotton candy extract
05 - Pink gel food coloring, a few drops
06 - Blue gel food coloring, a few drops
07 - Optional sprinkles for garnish

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Lightly grease a 23×33 cm baking pan with butter or nonstick spray and set aside. Prepare two mixing bowls for coloring the marshmallow mixture.
02 - In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add mini marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth. Remove from heat promptly to prevent overcooking.
03 - Divide melted marshmallow mixture evenly into two bowls. Add pink gel food coloring to one bowl and blue gel food coloring to the other. Stir in cotton candy extract into both bowls until well incorporated.
04 - Quickly fold half of the Rice Krispies cereal into each colored marshmallow mixture, ensuring even coating without overmixing.
05 - Using spoons, alternate dropping pink and blue mixtures randomly into the prepared pan. Gently press down with a greased spatula to form an even layer while preserving the swirl effect.
06 - Before the mixture sets, scatter sprinkles evenly for added texture and visual appeal.
07 - Allow to cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes until firm. Once set, cut into twists, squares, or shapes of choice for serving.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Use mini marshmallows for smoother melting; chop large marshmallows if substituted. Avoid overheating marshmallow mixture to maintain soft texture. Store in airtight container at room temperature up to 4 days; avoid refrigeration to prevent hardening.
