Chicken Caprese Garlic Bread (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Balsamic Reduction

01 - 120 ml balsamic vinegar
02 - 5 g granulated sugar

→ Chicken

03 - 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
04 - Salt, to taste
05 - Black pepper, to taste
06 - 5 g Italian seasoning

→ Bread Base & Toppings

07 - 1 loaf French bread
08 - 115 g unsalted butter, softened
09 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
10 - 200 g fresh Mozzarella cheese, grated
11 - 150 g grape tomatoes, halved
12 - 3 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Combine balsamic vinegar and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low and simmer until thickened and reduced by half, approximately 10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high. Add cubed chicken and cook, stirring, until thoroughly cooked and lightly golden. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Remove from heat.
03 - Preheat oven to 200°C. Slice French bread in half lengthwise and arrange, cut side up, on a large baking tray.
04 - In a small bowl, combine softened butter and minced garlic. Mix well and evenly spread on both bread halves.
05 - Distribute cooked chicken evenly over both bread halves. Top with grated Mozzarella and scatter halved grape tomatoes across the top.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
07 - Remove bread from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Top with fresh basil and drizzle with balsamic reduction before slicing and serving.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - For best results, use freshly grated Mozzarella and assemble bread just before baking to prevent sogginess.
