Cheesy Beef Flautas Taquitos (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Filling

01 - 500 g lean ground beef
02 - 30 g taco seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
03 - 60 g cream cheese, regular
04 - 60 g sour cream, regular
05 - 80 ml salsa
06 - 120 g shredded pepper jack cheese

→ Tortillas

07 - 8 medium flour or corn tortillas

→ Optional for Serving

08 - Guacamole
09 - Sour cream
10 - Salsa
11 - Chopped fresh cilantro

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
02 - Stir in taco seasoning, cream cheese, sour cream, and salsa. Cook, stirring continuously, until fully incorporated and creamy. Remove the pan from heat and mix in shredded pepper jack cheese until melted and combined.
03 - Warm tortillas in the microwave for 20–30 seconds covered with a damp towel to make them pliable.
04 - Spoon about 2 tablespoons of prepared beef mixture along one edge of each tortilla. Roll tightly and place seam-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
05 - Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) or preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F). Bake flautas for 15 minutes or until golden and crisp, or air fry for 3–4 minutes until crispy.
06 - Serve immediately with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro, as desired.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - For best results, do not overfill the tortillas and ensure each is rolled tightly to prevent unraveling during cooking.
02 - Flautas can be assembled ahead and refrigerated for up to 2 days or frozen for up to 3 months prior to cooking.
03 - To add heat, use spicy salsa or incorporate chopped jalapeños into the filling.
