Tender Beef Tips Gravy (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Beef and Broth

01 - 907 g beef stew meat, bite-sized pieces
02 - 473 ml beef broth, low-sodium preferred

→ Seasoning Mix

03 - 28 g dry onion soup mix (1 packet)
04 - 1/2 tsp dried thyme
05 - 45 ml ketchup
06 - 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
07 - 3 tbsp cornstarch
08 - 45 ml minced garlic
09 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Pat the beef stew meat dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Arrange the beef evenly in the base of a 6-quart slow cooker.
02 - In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together beef broth, dry onion soup mix, dried thyme, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until smooth and free of lumps.
03 - Pour the seasoning mixture over the beef in the slow cooker, ensuring all pieces are fully coated. Cover with the lid and cook on low heat for 7 to 8 hours until the beef is tender and flavors meld.
04 - Stir the dish gently to evenly distribute the gravy. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, steamed rice, or buttered egg noodles. Optionally, garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - For thicker gravy, mix 1–2 teaspoons cornstarch with cold water and stir into the slow cooker during the final hour of cooking. Vegetables like carrots, mushrooms, or pearl onions can be added halfway through for additional flavor and nutrition.
