# What You'll Need:

→ Crust

01 - 1 pre-made pie crust or homemade equivalent, rolled to fit a 23 cm pie dish

→ Filling

02 - 450 g ground beef
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 120 ml diced onion
05 - 120 ml diced bell pepper (optional)
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
08 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
09 - 240 ml pizza sauce
10 - 170 g shredded mozzarella cheese
11 - 25 g grated Parmesan cheese

→ Toppings (optional)

12 - Pepperoni slices
13 - Sliced black olives
14 - Sliced mushrooms
15 - Diced tomatoes
16 - Fresh basil leaves

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C. Roll out the pie crust and line a 23 cm pie dish, trimming and crimping the edges as needed.
02 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, diced onion, and bell pepper. Sauté until beef is browned and vegetables are softened, about 5–7 minutes.
03 - Drain excess fat. Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and pizza sauce. Remove the mixture from heat.
04 - Spoon half the beef mixture into the prepared pie crust. Evenly sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan. Layer with any desired toppings. Add the remaining beef mixture, then finish with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan.
05 - Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
06 - Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired and serve warm.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - For a lighter crust, substitute whole wheat or cauliflower-based options. Adjust toppings to personal preference.
02 - For extra heat, incorporate red pepper flakes or spicy Italian sausage.
03 - Leftovers remain fresh for up to 3 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator—reheat in the oven to restore texture.
