Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - 500 g ground beef
02 - 1 medium yellow onion, diced
03 - 1 teaspoon Montreal Steak Seasoning
04 - 250 ml cheddar cheese soup
05 - 120 g sour cream
06 - 120 g chopped cooked bacon
07 - 360 g tater tots, frozen
08 - 150 g shredded cheddar cheese

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C.
02 - Arrange tater tots in a single layer in a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes to start crisping.
03 - While tater tots bake, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onion and cook, breaking up the meat, until beef is fully browned and onions are soft. Drain any excess fat.
04 - Stir Montreal Steak Seasoning into the beef mixture. Add cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, and chopped cooked bacon and mix until evenly combined.
05 - Spread the beef mixture evenly in the baking dish. Layer the partially baked tater tots over the meat. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
06 - Return the dish to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and tater tots are golden and crispy.
07 - Allow to cool briefly. Serve hot for best taste and texture.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - For extra crispiness, broil the casserole for the last 2–3 minutes of baking.
02 - Drain ground beef thoroughly after browning to avoid excess grease.
03 - Top with burger sauce or ketchup-mayonnaise mixture before serving for added flavor.
