→ For the Salad

01 - ½ pound diced bacon
02 - 3 ½ cups chopped broccoli florets (raw, defrosted if frozen)
03 - 3 ½ cups chopped cauliflower florets (raw, defrosted if frozen)
04 - ½ cup chopped red onion
05 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

→ For the Salad Dressing

06 - 1 cup mayonnaise
07 - ¾ cup sour cream
08 - 1 tablespoon white sugar
09 - 2 teaspoons salt (to taste)

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Line plate with paper towels and set aside.
02 - Place skillet on stovetop over medium-high heat. When pan is warm, add diced bacon. Fry until crispy, then transfer to the paper towel-lined plate. Set aside.
03 - While bacon cools, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, white sugar, and salt in a small mixing bowl. Stir until fully incorporated. Adjust seasonings to taste.
04 - Add chopped broccoli and cauliflower florets to a large mixing bowl. Pour prepared dressing over vegetables and stir until florets are well coated.
05 - Add chopped red onion, shredded cheddar cheese, and cooked bacon to the bowl. Fold into the vegetable mixture until just incorporated.
06 - Serve salad immediately, or cover with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Make it Keto: Instead of sugar, use your favorite granulated sugar substitute, like Swerve. You can also omit the red onion to reduce carbs per serving.
02 - Make it Vegetarian: Omit the bacon completely, or use a vegan bacon alternative.
03 - Make it Vegan: Use vegan versions of bacon, mayonnaise, sour cream, and cheddar cheese.
