Air Fryer Steak Garlic Butter (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Steak

01 - 2 strip steaks or rib eye steaks or tri tip steaks
02 - 15 millilitres olive oil
03 - 3 grams salt, or to taste
04 - 3 grams black pepper, or to taste

→ Garlic Butter

05 - 60 grams unsalted butter, softened
06 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
07 - 5 millilitres lemon juice, freshly squeezed
08 - 3 grams Italian seasoning

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) while you prepare the steaks.
02 - Brush the steaks on all sides with olive oil. Season each steak evenly with salt and black pepper.
03 - Arrange the steaks in a single layer within the air fryer basket. Cook for a total of 12 minutes, flipping the steaks after 6 minutes, to achieve medium doneness. Use an instant read meat thermometer to verify doneness. For medium rare, remove steaks when the internal temperature reaches 57–60°C (135–140°F).
04 - While steaks cook, combine butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a bowl. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
05 - After air frying, immediately top each steak with half of the garlic butter. Allow the steaks to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. The internal temperature should reach approximately 63°C (145°F) as the steaks rest.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Allow steaks to reach room temperature before cooking for even doneness.
02 - Avoid overcrowding the air fryer for optimal air circulation and browning.
03 - Adjust cooking time based on steak thickness and desired doneness. Open the air fryer as needed to check.
04 - Insert the thermometer through the side of the steak for an accurate reading, avoiding bone or fat.
05 - Remove steaks from heat 2–3°C below target temperature to prevent overcooking as they continue to rest.
06 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days; freeze for up to 3 months.
